The devil caught me with my head down and got excited until I looked up and said, “Amen.”

I’ve been down before.  It’s during those times I take comfort in 2 Corinthians 4:7-12.  There’s a reason God leaves me on my own.  I rarely know at the time what it is.  Thankfully, I don’t have to.  I just need to  rely on Who, What and how He is.

I read recently that to be the best, you must be willing to handle the worst.

Well, then–I expect to be the best I’ve ever been, whenever God’s done shoving the worst at me.  I’ve never known a time when I didn’t trust God to take care of me.  When challenges arise, I still do.  It’s pointless to consider otherwise; God’s track record is flawless.

It’s His reputation on the line, not mine.  It’s the veracity of His Word, not mine.

No matter what comes, I choose to keep trusting God.

Psalm 12:5-6, 7a
