100-Word Strolls: 2 WAYS TO LOOK AT WINNING

Posted by on July 26, 2016

When you are not practicing, remember, someone somewhere is practicing, and when you meet him he will win. ~ Ed Macauley

Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed (Proverbs 16:3). – Solomon

For most of  life I’ve wrestled with feelings of rejection.  Abandonment.  I became good at surface involvement.  I was there but not the whole ‘I’.  I always held the deepest of myself in reserve.  Can’t touch this.  Doesn’t hurt as bad.

ONE:  If your goal is success, you can win and do okay that way.

TWO:  If you seek excellence, you’re going to have to commit.

Easy?  Nope.  Success starts over every morning while Excellence gets up to continue reaching, stretching, practicing . . .  Did I mention practicing?

Of course it’s not easy.

But it’s worth it.
