Sunday QTMs, 9/13/15: A Self-Awareness Exercise from 2000

Posted by on September 13, 2015

Notes from my Clinical Pastoral Education Level II journal:

“My values are not complicated, though they are Biblically based.  Where God has clearly spoken in Scripture, I as a minister of His Gospel must stand with and for God.

“However, I must stand in His love, and in respect for those whose spiritual understanding differs from my own.  God is Judge; and I work to defer all such to Him.

“Though I accept Scriptural indications of a masculine God, I have no strong opinion regarding women in pastoral roles.  I do observe that some men absolutely will not follow the leadership of a woman.  Of course, neither do some of them follow the leadership of a man.”
